CHECK IN ON THE DAY

START / FINISH

You can start your walk any time between 9:30 am and 11:30 and should finish no later than 2 pm. There will be marshals along the routes to keep you on track and if you need any help.

OUR BIG START! JOIN US AT 10AM

This year we’re trying something different – A BIG START!

Get your team signed in by 10am and start the walk as a large group — very exciting! Join us and see what you’re part of.

Don’t worry — We know that some of you like an early start. And for others, it’s difficult to get some of your volunteers out of bed on a Sunday morning! You are welcome to start your own group anytime from 09:30 to 11:30am.

CHECK IN

All Team Leaders must check in at the registration desk at the start and finish.

When you check in at the start, we will ask you to confirm your name and the names of any accompanied children under 14 who are walking with you. Team leaders will be asked to confirm the number of walkers in their group.

FINISHING

When you have finished your walk, please come back to the registration desk at South Hill Park, complete a feedback form and collect your Commemorative Certificate.

Make the most of your day!

Follow these steps to make sure you register with us and record your successful walk.

FUNDRAISING

If you are collecting donations online, your or your team leader will be asked to give your best estimate of the amount you expect to collect, the name of the good cause for which you are raising money and the website you are using to collect donations.

If you are using a paper form to collect donations, you must bring it along so that the organisers can verify it and sign it off

You can find more information and tips to find sponsors on our dedicated FIND YOUR SPONSORS page. And remember–100% of the money you raise goes to your charity!

CLOTHING AND SAFETY

CLOTHING

Wear comfortable shoes or boots. Depending on the weather forecast, you might want to bring a light waterproof, sun glasses, a sun hat or any other clothing you think is best for you on the day.

Don’t forget to pick up your bottle of water and snack at the start of your walk.

SAFETY AND PETS

Please take appropriate safety precautions, especially when walking on public roads and footpaths.

Please respect all public notices.

Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times.

Most importantly, have a great time!
